MISSION

In accordance with Holy Qur’an and Sunnah, M.I.L.A.D Foundation as an organization brings our community together to better understand and learn our beloved religion Islam in the light of Tasawwuf (Sufism). Through different events we are able to better grasp the philosophy of our religion. It is our goal to bring forth the truest picture of Islam as a religion of Peace, Love, Forgiveness, Acceptance, Respect, Sacrifice, Tolerance, and above all, Human Rights- Tasawwuf (Sufism) teaches us Charity and betterment of the Community as a whole regardless of others religions, casts, creeds, sects, race, sex, ethnic background, socioeconomic groups, and/or age.

VISION

“Love towards everyone, Malice towards none,” InshaAllah. In accordance with Holy Qur’an and Sunnah, each day we hope and pray to build a positive Community enriched with the true teachings of Islam, via Tasawwuf (Sufism).

Our

OBJECTIVES*:

*For everyone regardless of their religion, cast, creed, sect, race, sex, ethnic background, socioeconomic group, age etc.

1 Promotion and motivation to learn and serve basic education, knowledge, studies, and practices of Islam according to Holy Qur’an and Sunnah.

2 Disseminate the message of the Islamic Sciences and Academic Studies of Tasawwuf (Sufism), according to the illuminated path of Sufiyyaa-e-Karaam (R.A)

3 MILAD Foundation is greatly eager and optimistic to continuously increase its concrete and constructive efforts to establish a Center working profusely on vast variety of services for our community, such as

  • a) Organizing charity/donation programs and events
  • b) Efforts for self-help basis, motivating to better understand the best usage of available resources for charity purposes.
  • c) Welfare strategies for socioeconomically challenged families
  • d) Engaging the community in psychological calmness and spiritual enlightenment through religious understanding
  • e) Educate to develop a better understanding of precious philosophy of Islam as a religion of human rights, peace,
    love and tolerance.
  • f) Gaining Spiritual Permanence, Cordial Calmness and Successfulness here and hereafter.

4 Encourage

  • a) Unity among Muslims and People of Diverse Culture, Faiths and backgrounds for the sake of Global Peace.
  • b) Learning attitude towards noble behavior (Akhlaq-e-Hasna), love compassion, politeness, tolerance, patience, moderation with Proper Man ners (Adab-e-Taa’azam), and respect for self and others.
  • c) Healthy environment for recreational activities - art, literature, & games associated with the modern world.
  • d) Acceptance of others.

5 Condemn negative practices such as

  • a) Hatred - towards other religions, casts, creeds, sects, race, sex, ethnic background, socioeconomic groups, age etc
  • b) Aggression - towards other religions, casts, creeds, sects, race, sex, ethnic background, socioeconomic groups, age etc
  • c) Extremist tendencies - towards other religions, casts, creeds, sects, race, sex, ethnic background, socioeconomic groups, age etc
  • d) Inequality - towards other religions, casts, creeds, sects, race, sex, ethnic background, socioeconomic groups, age etc

6 Organize and participate in lectures, symposiums, conferences, and workshops focusing on Islam.

7 Make efforts to publish educational and promotional print material explaining social issues, misconceptions, and biases concerning Islam.

8 Begin Prison Reform Program. “Hate the Crime, Not the Criminal”

  • a) Modification of behavioral tendencies and practices
  • b) Character enhancement through education and spiritual understanding
  • c) Practicing the act of Acceptance - rejecting the crime and the circumstances that led to the crime while avoiding the blame on the person only. (Situational dependency in effect)
  • d) Practicing the act of Redemption - Those who have commit acts beyond social and religious norms and values must accept their doings as theirs only. Begin their reform by developing Sense of Responsibility towards their actions, the community and the betterment of themselves. “I did it, I need to repent”.
